These Australian-made engine mounts are a direct bolt-on replacement for the standard mounts. They are fabricated steel, powder-coated and use urethane bushings.
Standard engine mounts use a vulcanised rubber block sandwiched between metal plates — if the rubber splits or becomes detached from the metal, the engine is free to twist in the chassis.
Tuff Mounts remove any chance of the engine becoming detached from the car, even if the bushing fails the engine is still secured by the mount.
Being a more solid design, they do transmit more vibration.
